Additional general details about the program are available below and are not in the brochure.
Click here for specific Details about the Upcoming Certification Program
General Information
The full certification program consists of two parts and can be completed in approximately two years. In Part One, such subjects as the aspects of energy, emotions and personal development will be investigated in depth. Participants will explore the process of organizing and leading dream groups, while honoring the sacred nature of the dream. Details of group work will be studied and participants will learn a variety of creative methods in dreamwork. Participants will work with their own dreams, allowing for personal growth during the program as well as providing ‘hands-on’ learning.
Those desiring DreamSynergy™ Certification will continue to Part Two of the program, which includes practical experience leading dream groups, ‘business’ aspects of dreamwork, additional dreamwork methods, and continued personal dreamwork. The ‘business’ or professional aspects of dreamwork apply to both free and fee-based groups and client work. These aspects include items such as: attracting members to your group, planning and promoting your events, resolving group issues, etc.
Click to see Highlights and Advantages of the DreamSynergy™ Certification program.
Format
The certification program consists of multi-day, on-site intensives and distance (at-home) learning. There are three multi-day intensives in Part One of the program and three intensives in Part Two.
The DreamSynergy™ intensives are comprised of Certification program participants only and participants must attend the applicable intensive dates for their Program.
After each intensive, program participants will have assignments and consultation with Justina related to the total group experience. These weekends also provide additional opportunities for practical experience, with IDS oversight, in Part Two of the Program.
Distance learning assignments are given throughout the program and include: reading and reflecting on various works in the field of dreams, individual and group dreamwork requirements, and other consultations with IDS. Each person will keep dream and personal journals, and will analyze their dreams leading toward personal development and individuation.
Participants will receive personal feedback on written assignments and will have access to Justina and her guidance throughout the program. Participants will be encouraged to develop a particular area of interest. Efforts are made to customize topics or assignments based on participant needs and experience. Each participant’s background will be matched against standard Program assignments and revisions made to accommodate areas of expertise and areas of special interest, when possible and appropriate.
Intensives will include guest speakers, who are well-respected in the field of dreams and provide additional exposure to dream-related topics.

QUOTES FROM CERTIFICATION STUDENTS and DREAMWORK CLIENTS
“Justina Lasley is a deeply sensitive and experienced dreamworker who has a remarkable ability to lead people into a greater awareness of the transformative potentials of their own dream worlds.”
— Kelly Bulkeley, Ph.D.
Author, Professor, and Former President of The Association for the Study of Dreams
"Justina Lasley is truly dedicated to the process and has developed a Program that honors both the dream and the dreamer. Her vast experience, contagious enthusiasm and gentle approach make her the perfect dream group leader. She is attentive and intuitive to the needs of her students as a group and as individuals. Through her guidance and tutelage, I am uncovering the "gold" in my own dreams and with these new found discoveries and skills, taking positive action in my waking life. During my time with Justina and IDS, I have already witnessed dramatic changes of transformation in both myself and fellow students. This program has literally changed my life."
-- Linda Mastrangelo, IDS Student
"One lucky day I happened on Justina's certification program on the Internet. It appealed to me and I traveled from Iceland to the Open Center in New York to attend a workshop with her. It turned out to be a crucial encounter for me, and in spite of the geographical distance, I decided to enroll in her program at IDS in Charleston, SC. It was a
leap that brought me treasures!"
~ Hallfrķšur Reykjavik, Iceland
"Justina's devotion to a personal practice of working with dreams is
accompanied by a wealth of knowledge about group dreamwork! I am certain that anyone who is seriously committed to developing expertise in dreamwork for either personal or professional practice will be pleased with this certification program! Justina is one of the most gifted and informed dreamworkers of our time!"
- Dr. Deborah Armstrong Hickey, LMFT, RPT-S, and Student at IDS
"Intensive" aptly describes my experience of the first weekend of IDS. A sense of overwhelming joy came to me as I met and got to know all the participants. Openness and warmth were such a pleasure. The value of trust among people, both within our group and generally, really hit home for me. I feel that I'm finding further purpose for my life and am grateful for this opportunity to learn about myself and humanity through studying dreams and dreaming. Taking it all in is challenging and yet enjoyable. With Justina as guide and the mutual commitment of group members I feel supported and appreciated in this new endeavor. Spirit is moving. It has been said that the teacher will appear when the student is ready to learn. I'm ready.
Peggy R
"Anyone committed to developing expertise in dreamwork for personal or professional practice will be pleased with this certification program!"
"Thank you, Justina, with all my heart for giving so much of yourself and taking that leap by creating IDS. It's truly inspiring and gives me strength and courage to pursue my own goals."
"Justina's vast experience, contagious enthusiasm, and gentle approach make her the perfect dream group leader. This program has literally changed my life."
"Not only am I learning theory and overall value of dreams but also experiencing the dream's transformative nature."
"Justina, you do a great job of supporting and challenging us and you do so with such love and compassion. The group is great about this too. I don't think I could have asked for a better experience."
"The group provides comradeship growing into friendship in an environment of respect and trust. IDS is a network of support from and between each of us as we experience varying personalities and perspectives."
"The group feels cohesive and comfortable. Its influence has been to encourage an open mind and to invite everyone's ideas in an atmosphere of trust."
"Thank you for being a caring and most professional leader. You set the tone and make possible all that we are and all that we achieve as a group."
"I can't even express how much I love this work. It energizes me. It electrifies me!"
"I think the program is exceptionally well designed and is a rich experience. You, Justina, are an outstanding leader!"
"This program is wonderful! Experiencing "leadership" throughout is the best teacher of how to be a good leader."
I especially appreciate that this program is what I would call integrative, theoretically rigorous, practical (applications), holistic (multiple perspectives), and HEART Centered!!
I just want you to tell you how much I love and appreciate you. You are one of the best teachers I've ever had. You go out of your way to help each of us succeed. Just want to say a big thank you for that!
Perfect combination of challenge and support when asking me to 'lead' this weekend. You challenged me to spread my wings and give it a try, but without any guidelines which indicated complete trust and support. A great model for what I needed to do as a leader.
